Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Nodels (the "Game") uses and why.

Information you provide

• Username. Shown to other players as your name.
• Password. Used only on your device to create your account key. It is never sent to us or anyone else and is never stored.
• Game activity. Your progress, items, stats, appearance, hub membership and other game actions. This record is shared with our server and other players' devices so the game can verify it and keep your progress across devices.
• Chat. World and hub chat messages are public to other players and kept on our server so players can see recent chat. Private messages are encrypted so that only you and the recipient can read them; our server only holds them, unreadable, until they are delivered.
• Chat translation. If you tap Translate on a message, its text may be sent to a translation service to be translated. Nothing else is sent with it.

Information collected automatically

• Network data. To connect you with our server and other players, your IP address is visible to the devices and servers you connect to, including public connection services that help players find each other. A random connection ID is used for this, not your name.
• Location (optional). Wild Nodes can use your device's location to show nodes near you. Your location never leaves your device; only a scrambled code for the map square you harvested is recorded. You can decline location permission and keep playing.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your email, phone number, contacts, photos, advertising ID or real name, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive only a purchase confirmation from Google to deliver your items; we never see your payment details. Google's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Where data is kept and for how long

Game data is kept on our server and on players' devices while your account is active. Chat history is limited to recent messages. Undelivered private messages are removed after 30 days.

Deleting your account

Use Social → Account → Delete account. This removes your account from this device and tells our server to erase your game history and stop accepting it. Copies of public game data briefly cached on other players' devices expire and are not served by our server once erased.

Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Game data is signed by your account key so it cannot be altered by others, and connections between game nodes are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your password private.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will note significant changes in the Game. Questions can be sent through the contact details on the Nodels listing in Google Play.
